Size, presence, structurally correct in every way. Plus a true gentle giant, who knows his job and is very good at it. Bear is an incredible Livestock Guardian Dog. I trust this dog with not only my goats, but my grandchildren and my own safety. He has sired some great pups, who also know what it means to be an LGD!
Tulla is a beautiful average size female Pyr with wonderful Pyrenees characteristics. She is mild mannered, easy going, but very protective. At 9 mos. of age, Tulla spent the night out on the pasture at with a young goat that got her head caught in the fence. We didn't realize the doe kid was out there. Next morning we found Tulla setting beside the kid and we could see where she had bedded down for the night, right there. She is an excellent guardian dog.
This girl is all business... she's not real people friendly.... but boy does she do her job. Goats don't die or disappear on her shift! She raises great pups... who guard! We retained Fozzie from her first litter and he is a presence all his own. While he's a great guard dog, he's also a lover... my grandkids are all over this dog. Emma's pups won't disappoint you.

We really love her! She is definitely a sweetie, but independent enough that I think she will guard the birds well. We have been doing supervised guarding sessions, and those seem to go pretty well. Ellie also gets along great with our other two Pyrs and our Saint Bernard. Ellie has really taken to our other outdoor working Pyr, so I think they will make a good team. I am extremely pleased with Ellie and we already love her a lot! Thanks so much for her!

5-22-09 Howard Hale called me today, wanted us to know that the girls are doing their job! A neighbor witnessed a coyote come thru the fence into Hale's goat pasture. Emalie saw it... rushed across the pasture... grabbed the coyote and thru it in the air. The coyote hit the ground running and was back thru the fence before Emalie could grab it again!
GOOD GIRL EMALIE!
(note: the two dogs are in two seperate pastures, and Emalie is the shyer, quieter of the two)

Rupert took his first injury for the cause. They had a muskrat cornered in the barn. He must have tried to get him and got bit. They have sure been doing a good job with the goats. They live with the nannies and kids 24/7 now and haven't had a problem. They are getting out and patrolling the fence at night. I didn't expect them to come along quite as quickly as they have.

I could not be happier with my pups!
At not quit 6 mos. of age they are living full time with my Boer Goat moms and kids.
We have turkeys and chickens along with our goats... the pups have learned their job and they stay with the livestock.
Thank you! These are great pups!

Bart is almost 6 months old... and working along side his dad in our Full Blood Boer Doe Pasture. He is almost a big as his dad. Like Bear, Emma and Zsa Zsa, Bart will soon be a force on our LGD team.
