Thursday August 27, 2009 The Wheels of Progress Turn Very Slowly
The steel for the new roof on the house should be in this weekend. So that project will be underway soon.
This cinder block building that we have used for a kidding barn (until 2007) will be coming down tomorrow. The new kidding barn will be going up in this location.
Ahhhhh...... the sweet signs of progress....

The steel roofing arrived today. The wrong color arrived. :-( But Noah (son in construction) was great... he handled it ... got it sent back and a rush on the correct color... maybe this next weekend. <sigh>

Sept 24, 2009..... NEW ROOF MATERIALS AT LAST!
The company thru which we ordered the roof materials ordered the wrong color not once but twice! Finally the long wait came to a close when the correct materials were delivered in our driveway on 9-24-09. The roofing project was underway on the 26th of September. Unfortunately we had the first major snow of the season before the roof was finished. Along with some other family obligations and the roof project was not completed until 10-17-09. (photo soon of the finished project)
October 17, 2009 Roof is complete!
We still have some soffit and such work to do, but the roof is done!

November 7, 2009 We had a slight delay due to severe weather and approx 12 inches of snow. But we are now back to work.
